Q: Has anyone come up with any creative ways to display photos on your refrigerator?
A: Our large upright freezer is in our dining room. My dh has covered almost all of it with photos. He got some inexpensive magnetic clear frames that the pictures slip into. Because most of the photos are the same size, it looks uniform. I made some pretty fridge magnets with clip art and a colour printer. I tried to make the clip art to fit a business card magnetic. They are peel and stick magnetic for business card but I like to use art work instead. On the lower half of the freezer, I have a magnetic curtain rod on which I hang a small quilt. Guests often are so busy admiring all the photos of my neices and nephew that they are surprised that a freezer is there when I open it. I don't think it is bad to stick magnetic on a freezer door. It is bad to put things on top of the freezer since it gets too warm. My mother has some collage type magnetic sheets that go over the photos. It is a little hard to place but gives a more decorative look.
A: I bought a small wood framed bulletin board and painted it. I then hot glued magnetic strips around the frame on the back side. The magnetic strips usually come with adhesive backing but I hot glued them on for strength. I then put the bulletin board on my fridge and tacked up photos and things I like. I usually change it out after a month and add poetry, favorite scriptures and other clippings and new photos. You could add a ribbon border or silk flowers. Just be creative and add things you like.
A: I love the warmth of the fridge covered in family photos and kids art work! I simply display them in a variety of magnetized photo frames.
