Q: My kitchen countertops were here when we moved in and they have a lot of white in them. They are very stained in places. Is it possible to paint them?
A: I have seen countertops painted on HGTV shows. The main thing they say is to use a good primer and the proper paint.
A: Try wetting the countertops with water, sprinkling on Barkeepers Friend, waiting 15-20 minutes, then wiping it off. It might remove the stains. It usually costs less than $2 for a can the size of a cleanser can.
A: I would try the Mr. Clean Dry Eraser. I have white counter tops also
and I have to use the dry erasers on them daily. I used to have to keep a SOS pad (rust and all) on the sink for daily wipes of black marks etc but the dry erasers are a God send!!! I also use 2 BIG cutting trays from Lowes/Home Depot to cover up two counter tops so we try to lay everything down on the cutting trays but that doesn't always work.
