Painting Old Tile Floors

Description: Reader responses to painting old tile floors.

Q: Can you paint an old tile floor?

A: I painted a 14-year-old vinyl floor. I sanded the gloss off of it, put on 2 coats of primer and used porch paint in white and dark blue to make a checker board effect. I didn't put a sealer on it because I live alone and it doesn't get much wear and tear. I found the directions on HGTV.com.
